Vaping has gained immense popularity over the years, and with this rise in popularity, it is important to understand that vaping etiquette is essential for a pleasant vaping experience. The unwritten rules of vaping etiquette help maintain a comfortable and respectful environment for everyone who enjoys vaping. These rules can vary depending on the setting, but some general guidelines include being mindful of others around you, avoiding excessive cloud blowing, and refraining from vaping in places where it is not allowed.
It is important to remember that not everyone appreciates the smell of vaping, and that is why it is necessary to be considerate of others. If you are in a public place, it is best to avoid vaping altogether. If you are in a designated vaping area, make sure to be mindful of those around you and keep your clouds to a minimum.

The most important rule is to be mindful of your surroundings. Just because you love the smell of your favourite e-liquid, doesn't mean others do. In enclosed spaces like public transport or crowded rooms, take a moment to see if vaping is appropriate. If you're not sure, step outside and vape in designated area - or simply ask!
While there is currently no specific legislation against vaping in Britain, it's essential to note that individual space or property owners have the authority to set their own restrictions. When uncertain, it's always a good practice to seek permission. Refrain from vaping in prominent locations such as supermarkets, pubs, airplanes, during meetings, or at someone elses big day - weddings etc!
Respecting the preferences of those around you ensures a considerate and responsible approach to vaping.
Not everyone is into vaping, and that's cool. When with non-vapers, ask if it's okay to vape. Always respect their wishes, nobody likes a surprise vape cloud in their face. And, even if you are graciously given permission to vape by your non vaping friends, while blowing massive clouds is fun, remember to exercise moderation. Be mindful of the size and density of your vapour clouds, especially in crowded places.
Opt for small, less intrusive exhales when you're near others. Remember, it's not a competition to see who can create the biggest cloud. It's easy to get carried away with the enjoyment of vaping, but nobody likes being overwhelmed by too much vapor. If you're in a social setting, see how comfortable those around you are. If you're not sure, take a step back or adjust your vaping style to be less in-your-face.
Also forget trying to take sneaky puffs whilst hiding your vape in your sleeve! We know what you're doing!
Vaping is still new to a lot of people, and not everyone understands it. If someone asks about vaping, educate them politely. Share information about different types of devices, e-liquids, and emphasize the importance of responsible vaping.
On the topic of responsible vaping: We all know that kids are curious, and vaping devices might pique their interest. Keep your vaping gear out of their reach and sight. If you're in a family-friendly area, be extra careful and consider stepping away to vape. It's just good vaping etiquette.
On the subject of staying educated about vaping - Vaping laws and regulations vary from place to place. Stay informed about local restrictions, age limits, and rules about vaping in public spaces. This is your responsibility. Complying with these regulations ensures your safety and contributes to a positive image of the vaping community.
Vaping can generate a lot of waste, from empty e-liquid bottles to spent coils. Good Vaping etiquette means you will always dispose of waste responsibly. Use dedicated bins for vaping waste or carry a small container to store your used items until you can properly dispose of them.
If you find your 18650 or 21700 battery has died then you should use the correct recycling bins to throw it away. These can usually be found in your local supermarket or most vape shops will have a dedicated battery recycle bin you can chuck them in.
Here are some super simple rules you can follow. They are all common sense in reality so none of them should come as a surprise to you.
By following these 7 simple steps you can continue to be an upstanding member of the vaping community and take your vaping etiquette to the next level.
